Larissa Brown studied at the Oberlin Conservatory and Northwestern University obtaining a B.M. in Viola Performance with Dr. Roland Vamos. In Chicgao she played in the Chicago Civic Orchestra, Northwestern University Orchestra, and Northshore Baroque Orchestra. After graduation, she was the principal violist of the Fountainbleau Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Philip Entrement. She was then motivated to move to the United Kingdom and to pursue a MM degree under the instruction of Rivka Golani. While in the UK she busked at Covent Gardens, and played in the Queensland Sinfonia. Other orchestras that she has played in have included the Tacoma Symphony, Bellevue Philharmonic, Federal Way Philharmonic, Seattle Choral Orchestra, Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra, Bellevue Ballet, and the Amman Philharmonic. Larissa has also performed chamber music live on the Seattle radio staion Classical King FM.
