Violin Teacher's Biography:
Violinist Benjamin Thacher dedicates much of his musical life and career to teaching. He brings his rich musical experiences to his teaching and continues to inspire students from coast to coast by sharing his love and passion for the music.
He is highly in demand as a teacher, frequently adjudicating youth competitions, and giving public classes and seminars to young artists most recently with the Cape Symphony's "Guest Soloist Masterclass series", Highfield's "Classical Music Series",and served as a guest teacher for the students in Jody Harmon's studio.
Previously he held a violin teaching position at the award-winning music program at the Ipswich High school, and at the oldest community music school in the south bay, Cannon Music.
Benjamin received his bachelors of music degree in violin performance, and currently resides in San Francisco, where he is active as a violin soloist, chamber music, and freelancer. He moved to the west to participate in the Artist Diploma program held at the San Francisco Conservatory.

Mr. Thacher is as gifted at teaching as he is at violin playing. His insights have proven extremely beneficial in my playing and musicianship. He has a vast array of knowledge that has been attained through his many years working with some of the world's most influential musicians. He is extremely dedicated to passing this knowledge on through history as a testament to its invaluable importance. Truly gifted!

I am thrilled that Ben Thacher is my violin teacher. Besides being a brilliant musician, he is also a gifted teacher. He explains the very difficult technical aspects of violin playing in a precise, yet easy to understand manner. He is wonderfully musical and is able to provide me with the tools and ideas that help me to be more expressive and musical myself.
