I grew up in the Northwest and learned to love the outdoors and activity from the time I was a small child. I began running in my early teen years, worked with my own personal trainer from ages 17-19, began practicing yoga at the same time, and have been in love with each of these activities ever since!
As a personal trainer, I find it a privilege to share in the journey of others, desiring to better their bodies through exercise and strength training! It is my goal to bring the benefits of healthy living, both of strength of the body and care of the mind, to the public, through diverse training in both physical achievement as well as mind and body awareness.
As a student of the ever broadening field of psychotherapy, I find it a unique privilege to grow and share in my understanding of the human experience, of life and all its struggles and joys, and the inherent suffering and pain which each of us encounter at some point along our journey. I believe in the power of living life as a whole person, incorporating mind, body and spirit into all entities of life. As we become more self-aware, we are able to better understand our life experiences and how they impact us.
Our physical health affects not only our bodies, but also how well we function mentally, in every area of our lives. I desire to share my passion of bettering both the body and soul. What we eat affects our energy level and our ability to perform activities of the mind and body. How much sleep we get affects our ability to process thoughts and find the will the exercise. The type of exercise we participate in enables us to reach our goals, whether they are to lose weight, to gain muscle, to gain endurance or stamina or to simply maintain a healthy physique.
I am grateful to have the opportunity to work with each of you on this journey.
