You asked for it, you got it! Sue has expanded her popular yoga detox workshop to a full day. The morning will begin with gentle stretches and qi gong, then move to vinyasa flows to get the body warm and stimulate the flow of energy. We will progress to a few backbends and inversions to further prepare the body. Then comes a series of twisting poses to cleanse and purify the organs. Woven throughout, we will "pump" the abdomen using yogic cleansing techniques.

After a break for a light and healthy lunch, We finish with two full hours of restorative yoga and meditation to allow the body to relax, the organs to gently stretch and open back up, and restore calmness and balance. The combination is a highly effective way to detoxify and renew the body. Please bring at least one blanket and a large bottle of water.

Directions to Still Meadow: From I-205, take exit 12 to Clackamas/Estacada heading east on Hwy 212/224. Travel 3.1 miles to the “Y”of Hwy 212/224 and at the stoplight, bear right onto Hwy 224. In one mile you will pass through Carver, where the road curves to the left. Travel about 2 more miles and turn left onto Marna Road. Follow Marna Road about 1/4 mile to the top of the hill. Just past the cedar home on the left, watch for the Still Meadow sign marking the gravel driveway. Follow the drive to the parking area.

Review of Sue Brantley, January 26, 2009

I met Sue for 8 or 9 years ago and am continually amazed at her teaching talent and empathy for her students. Sue makes yoga available and accessible for all - and you will feel that you truly understand and benefit from your practice. Sue also is a continuous learner and incorporates new poses and flows into her practice. Although I now live out of state, I still attend Sue's classes when I'm in Portland and have attended Still Meadow and Hawaii retreats - fantastic experiences!

  • "Individual attention and supportive atmosphere"

Review of Sue Brantley, January 25, 2009

I love the supportive atmosphere in Sue's classes - it seems to be a safe space whatever your level or body issues. And with so many different workshops she teaches, there always seems another new trick she can pull out of the bag to make class interesting. But where she really shines is in the individual attention. I guess it comes from so much one-on-one work as an instructor. She somehow connects with each person in the room in making the yoga effective for them.
