Yoga classes are a fun and relaxed exploration of a variety of styles of Yoga from gentle to energetic. Classes in the program are adapted to the experience level of the participants. Postures and the philosophy behind them are thoroughly explained in order to support you in continuing your practice on your own. In time, the postures become effortless allowing you to move beyond focus on the body into a meditative state. This is one of the great gifts of Yoga and other mind-body practices—an increasing ability to experience the deep peace of being in the present.
Sun Salute, Child Pose, Downward Dog--these are a few of the many physical practices of Hatha Yoga that stretch the muscles, increase circulation throughout the body and awaken the mind to the often unnoticed habits, which create pain and tension. The practice of Yoga allows you to bring attention to every part of your body. As you become present to your experience, you can release tightness in body and mind, allowing joy and ease to enter.
